Laura Nutton

Laura’s practice is based on vernacular architecture. Theorists, such as Heidegger and Isaacs, who believed in dwelling within natural environments and sustaining the earth, hugely influence her work. Her work questions what home is and what makes a shelter a home, as she toys with different forms of structure in relation to this, keeping theories of dwelling in mind throughout her practice. She explores the importance of the self-build and her own personal need for a home.
