In her practice, Claire incorporates collage and digital media in an exploration into the extent to which the rapid advancement of technology and the technical means of image making have transformed our understanding of ourselves and of our world. At the same time she raises the possibility that art might be continuing to progress through evolution rather than revolution, even when it is at the cutting edge with regard to its adoption and use of new technology. Claire uses a variety of media and techniques in a quest to understand whether contemporary art can reflect and represent modern human society in ways which are, fundamentally, new.
